Please go to Address Update in InfoWeb to change your contact information. This address will be used by the Financial Aid Office to send you cheques or documents. Please keep it up to date.
Some scholarships I applied for are not displayed in my portfolio.
Only scholarships you applied for using Online Scholarships and Bursaries are displayed in your portfolio. Scholarships you applied for using another means (applications you handed in, you sent by fax or email), for example applications to the Financial Aid Bursary or the Interest Relief Bursary, will be displayed in your portfolio only if you are the recipient and only when the scholarship will be given to you.
For example, you applied to Chancellor’s scholarship using Online Scholarships and Bursaries AND handed in your application for the Financial Aid Bursary: only the Chancellor’s scholarship will be displayed in your portfolio (in the section titled “Under evaluation”). If you win the Financial Aid Bursary, it will be displayed in the first section (all scholarships you won since the beginning of the term). If you are not awarded the scholarship, it won’t be displayed in any section because we have no electronic record of that application.
For further details about the Financial Aid Bursary and other scholarships which are not yet available in Online-Scholarship and Bursaries, please refer to the Financial Aid and Awards Service Website.
If you applied to a scholarship using Online Scholarships and Bursaries but you don’t see it in your portfolio, please make sure that your application is not displayed in another section (“Applications under evaluation”, “Incomplete applications”). If your application is not displayed at all, it is possible that you didn’t receive the scholarship and your application has been deleted because it is now out-of-date or there was an error when submitting your application. In this case, please apply again. If it still doesn’t work, please contact the Financial Aid and Awards Service.
There are scholarships I didn’t apply for in my portfolio.
Due to possible administrative mistakes, you might see scholarships you didn’t apply for in your portfolio. Please ignore them. We apologize for the inconvenience it may cause.
My funds from the government are not displayed in my portfolio.
If you applied for governmental financial aid in a province other than Ontario or Quebec, you will need to bring to the Financial Aid and Awards Service the documents you received from your ministry. Then we will be able to display this information in your portfolio.
Please note that as some provinces process loans via direct deposit to students’ accounts, we are unable to display this information in your portfolio.
The amount for my loan that is displayed in my portfolio is not the same that is written on my loan certificate.
In some instances, the Financial Aid and Awards Service may have received differing information than that which was received by OSAP. This commonly occurs when:
- the ministry revised the amount you were initially supposed to receive;
- you will receive more than one payment.
For students who receive financial aid from Quebec : the amount of my guarantee certificate is not displayed.
When the ministry of Quebec delivers guarantee certificates, there is no amount on it. You will negotiate it with your lender.
For students who receive financial aid from Quebec : my application to the Quebec Loans and Bursary Program no longer appears in my portfolio.
For technical reasons, it is possible that your application for the Quebec financial aid program disappears at the very beginning of the year (beginning of January). Please wait a few days and go back to your portfolio. Your application should be back.
What is the difference between the Coop Navigator and the Work-Study Navigator.
The Coop Navigator is for Coop Students only. They use it to apply for work terms that are included in their program of study. Data from the Coop Navigator is not integrated in My Financial Portfolio. The Work-Study Navigator is used by all students to apply for part-time jobs during the academic year and/or full-time jobs during the summer. Data from the Work-Study Navigator is integrated in My Financial Portfolio.
