Returning students – Registration procedure

Online registration

If you are an undergraduate student from one of the following faculties, you can register for courses using Rabaska, our online registration tool. Rabaska is available in uoZone.

  • Faculty of Arts
  • Faculty of Engineering
  • Faculty of Health Sciences (with the exception of the Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program)
  • Faculty of Law (with the exception of first-year common law)
  • Faculty of Medicine
  • Faculty of Science
  • Faculty of Social Sciences
  • Telfer School of Management

Some courses require additional approval when you register online and receive a confirmation number. You will be notified in such cases.

If you wish to change your course selection, you can do so by using Rabaska. Changes to your program or your course selection may be made only up to the deadline published in the list of Important Dates and Deadlines.

Registration in person or by mail

If you are a regular student and wish to register in person or by mail, obtain approval for your course selection by returning the completed and signed registration form to the academic secretariat of the faculty, department or school by mail, by fax or in person.

If you are a special student ( a student who has not been admitted into a program of studies), you cannot use Rabaska to register online. For more information on the registration procedure for special students, please read the general regulations for special students.

Special admission conditions

  • If your offer of admission contains special conditions, you may not be able to register online until these conditions are met.
  • Certain programs are not yet available online. If this is the case, you will not be able to register online and will receive a message about this when you enter Rabaska. You will then have to register in person, by mail or by fax.

Course selection modification

If you wish to change your course selection, you can do so by submitting the signed Modification/Cancellation of Registration form to the faculty, department or school secretariat.

Important

Registration is mandatory for all students attending courses or related activities at the University.

No credit will be granted and no grade recorded for any course or activity for which you have not been properly registered and in accordance with the registration deadlines published in the list of Important Dates and Deadlines. You are responsible for ensuring that your course selection and course registration are done properly and that they meet the requirements of your program. Retroactive registration and retroactive changes in registration cannot be accepted.

As soon as your course selection has been approved by the faculty or school, you are considered registered. You then have an account owing to the University until:

  • fees are paid in full;
  • you drop a course using Rabaska or inform the faculty in writing that you are dropping a course or cancelling your registration.
