Student Categories

1. RegularStudents who are admitted to and registered in a program of studies leading to a degree, diploma or certificate from the University of Ottawa. Regular students are subject to the academic regulations published in the calendar of the Faculty or school that offers the program in which they are enrolled.
 

2. Special
Special students are students the University allows to register for undergraduate courses, for credit or as auditors, without seeking a degree, diploma or certificate from the University. Special students are governed by the regulations and conditions published on the back of the registration form for special students.
 

3. Auditors:
Persons who are registered for a course as either a regular or special student but are not required to complete work assignments or write exams and who will not receive credits for the course.
