Requesting official University of Ottawa documents

Official documents are issued only to students who don’t have an outstanding balance or other financial obligations to the University of Ottawa. Please note that requests will not be processed without the student's signature and payment.

Fees may be paid by cash, MasterCard, Visa or Interac, or by cheque or money order made payable to the University of Ottawa. Students paying by credit card must provide their card number and card expiry date.

Ordering documents online using DocuNet

You can order documents through InfoWeb via uoZone with your uOttawa student number, personal identification number (PIN) and a MasterCard or VISA.

Ordering documents by mail or fax

Print and complete the official request form or send in a written request including:

  • your name and student number
  • your current address
  • the number of copies requested
  • the address where the document should be mailed
  • your signature

Requests for diplomas must also include:

  • your name as it should appear on the diploma
  • the language of the diploma (English or French)

Please allow five to seven working days for delivery of documents and four to six weeks for delivery of diplomas.

Ordering documents in person

To order a document in person, go to InfoService, located at 75 Laurier Avenue East in Ottawa.

Ordering diplomas

Duplicate or replacement diplomas are available in 8½ by 10½ inch format and 17 by 14 inch format.

Ordering an official photocopy of a diploma

Students may order an official photocopy of their diploma bearing the seal of the University. To order an official photocopy, you must provide InfoService with your original diploma. Payments methods are indicated in the instructions for ordering diplomas.

Statement of studies

A statement of studies is an official document prepared by the University certifying that the student is or was registered at the University of Ottawa.

Statement of degree conferred

A statement of degree conferred is an official document prepared by the University certifying that a student has studied at the University of Ottawa and was conferred a degree.

Transcripts

Transcripts contain the complete record of all courses in which the student was registered and all the results obtained, as well as any degrees, diplomas or certificates conferred.

Note: The University of Ottawa does not provide partial transcripts.
